Summer 2026 Information
YL Connect Camp is required for summer 2026. The YLCC Arrival Form replaces the registration packet/A form excel document. Training materials on YL Connect Camp are available through Learning Guides as well as a Quick Guide with videos. Arrival Form specific information can be found here.

1-2 Month(s) Before Camp Trip
- Area Camp Trip Survey We want to learn more about your area before you even arrive! This will allow camp staff and the assignment teams to plan in a way that sets you and your friends up for a great week at camp!
- Send automated E-mail in YLCC for all to complete health form. (instructions)
- Send camp medical requirements page to parents (see helpful resources below)
- Make sure leaders & staff are signed up.
- Medication Rider - For campers taking medications while at camp (see helpful resources below)
- Download Mobile Check in App - Instructions for how to download and use this app.
10 Days Before Camp Trip
- Submit 10-Day Reports: High School | WyldLife - due by 9am EST (Leaders legal names and birth dates will be needed to complete this form.)
- Update Arrival Form in YLCC (instructions)
- Review the arrival checklist. (below)
- Finalize Health forms and Medication Riders
- Medication Riders need to be completed for prescription and over the counter (OTC) medications. Camps will stock OTC medications or their generic equivalent. These do not need to be brought to camp. If a camper brings OTC medications to camp, they will be collected and administered along with prescription medications.”
2 Days (48 hours) Before Camp Trip
- Complete 48 Hour Form Here!
- Collect any remaining forms
- Complete housing & arrival form in YLCC - due by 9am EST
- Please leave any housing notes in the "notes" section on YLCC. If notes are added after 48 hour has been submitted please notify camp.
- 2 housing preferences can be configured in YLCC.

Contracts(spots), Accountability
- Want to see other camp trips in your week? On your camp trip in YLCC, click the dropdown arrow in the top right and select Camp Trips by Week. This will show you every trip at the camp you are attending organized by week.
- To request an increase or to trade spots, please contact Morgan. Do not make these trades on your own.
- YL Spot Swap Policy - Areas are able to trade spots by emailing the camp office. Once camp has confirmation from both trip leaders they will make the adjustments.
*Once at camp trips can trade spots for registrants on the YLCC arrival form. Ex. The trip is contracted (allocated spots) for 20 spots but has 25 registrants on the arrival form. There are 5 spots that could be traded with another area that was under their contracted number.

- IR contracts are due October 30th
- R1 contracts are due January 15th (areas are financially responsible for $50 per spot).
- R2 contracts are due April 1 (areas are financially responsible for 90% of these spots).

- Day 1 from 1:00 - 4:00pm EST.
*Please call Saranac by 9:00am EST to give your ETA and hear the final arrival reminders.
Departure
- Senior High Departure on Day 6 is at 1:00pm EST, directly after club.
*Please schedule your departure bus to arrive between at 12:00 - 12:30pm EST
Please be prepared to turn in the following at the Welcome Tent:
- Updated Information for any changes made to YL Connect Camp after the 48 hour mark.
- Health Forms — any health forms that were not filled out online. Make sure you have copies for your return trip, the originals have to remain at Saranac.
- Medication Rider Forms For campers taking medications while at camp (See helpful resources)
- Medications — Please see Summer Camp Medications Requirements above in the Helpful Resources section of this page.
- Electronics — Need to be stored in a container labeled with your area name/number. It's also a good idea to provide zip lock bags for each camper and a Sharpie to label with their name. Please make sure all devices are powered off.

- Leader Orientation: Please have your leaders complete the Summer Camp Leader Orientation.
- Electronics: Please collect all personal electronics (cellphones, cellular enabled watches, iPads, laptops, DVD players, etc.) prior to your arrival; place in individual Ziploc bags and label with the camper's name and area number. These will be collected upon arrival and stored until your departure.
- Medications: Please collect all prescription medication prior to your arrival; place in individual Ziploc bags and label with the camper's name and area number. All medications must be in their original prescription container with the label. These will be collected upon arrival and stored in the Infirmary to be dispensed by our medical team. We will collect all medications (prescription and over the counter) except epi-pens, and inhalers.
- Early Departures: If a camper needs to leave separate from the rest of your area, a completed Permission to Leave Camp Early form (YL-1853) must be turned in to the office before the camper is able to leave camp.
- Campers Driving/Riding in Personal Vehicle: If a camper needs to drive their personal vehicle to/from camp OR a camper is riding to/from camp with another minor in their personal vehicle, a completed Permission to Drive To and From Camp (YL-1854) must be completed online before the camp trip.
- Adult Guest Program: We are excited to host the Adult Guest program at Saranac this summer! To fill an open room, please complete the Adult Guest registration form.
- Controlled Substances: As a reminder, use, possession or distribution of illegal and non-medical authorized drugs and/or alcohol is not allowed on camp property or in connection with any Young Life event. Young Life can send individuals home from camp or an event at their own expense and without refund for violating this policy. Young Life may also report violations of this policy to law enforcement as well as to a minor’s parent or guardian. Please refer to the Controlled Substances policy (AS-802) for more information.
- Other Areas Your Week: Want to see which other areas will be at Saranac your week? On your camp trip arrival form in YLCC, click the dropdown arrow in the top right and select "Camp Trips by Week". This will show you every trip at the camp you are attending organized by week.
- Retail Gift Card: Click THIS LINK to pay for a retail gift card (formerly known as a "tab") for your camp trip before arrival. These gift cards can be used in both the store and snack bar. Note: Internal Transfer will not be available as a tender type at Saranac this summer. Please be sure that you and your staff bring your P-cards to camp with you OR contact Ally Burr, aburr@saranac.younglife.org , to get a customer profile created with your P-card number on file. We will still do area tabs in the snack bars but you must have your P-card with us on file in order to start one, which can be done by visiting a retail location at the start of your camp week or by setting it up ahead of time. YLCC Arrival Form
You must have a completed and updated Arrival Form in YL Connect Camp no later than 9am EST, 2 days prior to your arrival at camp. This must include the correct participant type, housing preference, health form status, gender and ethnicity.
